Wow! Have you been taking pictures also before the electronic era? A friend of mine is a passionate amateur photographer and he told me that what he used to do in the darkroom he now does in Photoshop. You can see some of his pictures here (a Danish website where professionals will comment and give advice on all pictures you upload: http://www.foto-basen.dk/default.asp?page=15&author=2758). Do you only publish your pictures here, or have you made exhibitions or been in photo magazines?

Yeah... I had a darkroom and shot 35mm film for years. After experimenting with digital photography for a few years now, I have to say that overall, I prefer digital to film. Films is still capable of giving superior resolution, but digital is SO much more convenient than digital. Much less trouble.

Most of the photography that I do ends up here, on my blog. I've never enjoyed the hassle of framing, meeting deadlines, making submissions, etc., so no, I don't have a lot of photos in publications. I enjoy the lazy, care-free aspects of amateur photography, so most of my stuff ends up here or in the hands of friends and family.

I was browsing through your Sledge Dog gallery earlier today. You've got some nice photos in there. You seem to have a feel for imagery. How long have you been doing photography?

You know, I got the camera (Olympus mju: 300 digital) in July 2004. Before then I’d never had a camera. I got it as a birthday present from my Dad, whom I also met on that occasion for the first time in about 25 years. It is one of the best presents I’ve ever had. He gave it to me so that I could take pictures of my life for him to see as he lives in Copenhagen and we only get to see each other about once or twice a year. It’s not a flashy camera I know and I simply open it and press the button. I never adjust anything on it. Thanks for the imagery remark :o) I like pictures with backlight. I’m sure you have some nice ones for me to see….?
